In the featured bout, former Olympian Alexey Mazikin (13-2-1, 3 KOs) of Ukraine delivered his career-best performance and scored a unanimous decision over previously undefeated Russian Artur Marabyan (11-1, 4 KOs) over twelve rounds. Mazikin confidently dominated throughout the contest but was unable to stop game Marabyan who showed some gleams of skill and science in later rounds. Ukrainian pugilist possesses an interim version of the WBO Asia Pacific heavyweight belt now. Former amateur standout Anton Solopov (17-2-1, 13 KOs) used his superior power to dismantle overmatched Thai Sataporn Singwancha (17-7-1, 10 KOs) in two rounds. Solopov, who was kayoed by Australian Daniel Dawson in one round precisely a year ago, floored his foe with a wicked left hook to the body in round one and finished him in the second stanza with a ‘from-body-to-head’ effective combo. Light welterweight prospect Karen Tevosyan (8-0-3, 5 KOs) exploded with the most scintillating victory of the evening. It took Tevosyan only 46 seconds to knock out fellow unbeaten Mexican Hugo Hernandez (4-1, 3 KOs). Hernandez was up and down several times after the single right cross of the Russian hitter. Also, debuting heavyweight Denis Podolyachin (0-1) lost a four-round split decision to experienced Latvian journeyman Edgars Kalnars (17-14, 9 KOs). A local crowd was furiously disappointed with the bout judges’ scorecards. This boxing show was organized by the Tszyu Fund for Sport Support and Development and promoted by Stanislav Bukhlov. source -- - www.fightnews.com
