"I'm disappointed that Forrest has made this a personal battle, but that will make things even worse for him on fight night," said Mora at a recent press conference. "I was just going to beat him, but now I'm going to have to punish him to show him that my first win wasn't a fluke. I'm the super welterweight champion of the world and undefeated…that's not going to change on September 13th." Meanwhile, chief Contender Season One rival and former world super middleweight title challenger "The Pride of Providence" Peter Manfredo, Jr., will fight Donny "The Savage" McCrary (24-7-2, 13 KOs), from The Contender Season Three, on August 22 for the NABF Interim super middleweight title at Twin River Events Center in Lincoln, Rhode Island. "I want one last shot," says Manfredo. "I watched Andre Berto and Sergio Mora become world champions and I know I can, too. I have a game plan: destroy McCrary and get a fight against somebody like Sakio Biko." Freddie Curiel (18-7-2), part of the Contender Season Two, travels to London to fight junior middleweight Anthony Small (19-1, 13 KOs), headlining Frank Warren's Fourth Annual DebRA charity dinner on September 12 at the Grosvenor House Hotel. source - - - Boxing News 24 hours/day -- the #1 resource in boxing -- following Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray, Oscar De La Hoya and all your boxing favorites
