Default Degale to face former Irish Champion on Khan undercard

Former Irish champion Ciaran Healy has been lined up to fight Olympic champion James DeGale on June 27.
The middleweight, who has won his first two professional bouts since reigning supreme in Beijing, comes into this bout on the back of an impressive first-round demolition of Czech Jindrich Kubin last time out in Belfast.
DeGale is set to fight on the undercard of Amir Khan's WBA light-welterweight title challenge against Andreas Kotelnik at London's O2 Arena and is determined to continue his rise.
"Healy's been around a bit and will be a good test," said 23-year-old DeGale. "My confidence is buzzing after my last fight, and I'm going in there looking to make another statement.
"Healy went six rounds with Paul Smith in his second to last fight, and Smith is a seasoned professional who's on the fringe of world class. I'll be looking for a knockout, but I'm preparing for a hard fight."
Healy, 34 and from Belfast, Northern Ireland, won his last fight when he beat Matt Scriven in his home city.

Healy has a record of 10-10 with 1 draw

"I know what I've been doing in the gym. I know where I'm going. Don't give up on me. I've got an Olympic gold medal - trust me."
Another dramatic contest, again involving the charismatic Irish heavyweight Martin Rogan. Yet this time, after 2 mins 37 seconds of round eight, the fight went against him.
Rogan lost his Commonwealth heavyweight title to Norfolk fighter Sam Sexton in controversial circumstances on a stoppage due to a badly swollen left eye. A re-match seems almost inevitable.
Rogan, flying after winning the British Commonwealth belt with a thrilling 11th-round technical knockout of Matt Skelton, looked to have Sexton out on his feet early in the eighth round, but sportingly, Sexton was given the chance to recover by Rogan when the Norfolk man’s gumshield fell out, only for the fight to be stopped a minute later when the doctor ultimately ruled, after several inspections of the Irishman’s eye over three rounds, that he was unfit to fight on.
