Default British unlicensed boxing of the 70's

I have been trawling the net looking for information on British boxers from the 70's and I came across these guys..
Lenny McClean v Roy Shaw..reputedly 2 of the worlds toughest street fighters and bareknuckle boxers...I don't know how much you guys know about these two hardmen, but they appear to be truly fucked up individuals with tempers to match...Thoughts!!

i once met lenny mcclean in a pub in putney years ago when i was a kid... my old man used to drink in the boozer (alot i might add haha) and lenny mcclean was there. my old man knew a couple of his buddies and got introduced to lenny and he introduced me i must've been about 12 maybe 13.... and all i can remember is his deep voice and very broad london accent and when i shook his hands they were just rediculously huge... i can understand now when i see the videos just what sort of damge those hands would've done..... hes a typical old school london geezer... he was so fucking hard even his nightares were scared of him.... haha... hes in lock stock and two smoking barrells (film) as well.....

what you think of him rubio?

Roy Shaws book is awesome he was a dangerous dangerous man. The guy followed his own rules and even the Krays knew to keep there distance when it came to him. Its beleived that Roy coulda been MW champion if he wasn't so nuts back in the day, he was as hard as they came. I want to read Lennys book but from what ive heard he was a poor mans Roy Shaw. Shaw didn't even train for the one he lost and was on crazy drugs that slowed him down and calmed him going into it.

Rubio, try and get hold of shaws book, "pretty boy".

lol I'll point you in the direction of a few pubs you'll enjoy

I remembering seeing a program "britains toughest pubs" I think it was one in Nottingham had a boxing ring in it. Anyone thinking they were hard got put in the ring for a few rounds against one the regulars

If I had money I would totally go there. But I don't

I would like to start out small and work my way up. That way I do not get my ass beat all of that much.,
