Default Audley vs Rogan on Arthur/Khan card.

Olympic gold medallist Audley Harrison will now face Martin Rogan on September 6 at the M.E.N Arena. The pair had been due to meet in Birmingham in July, but the fight was resceduled. "I'm delighted that the Rogan fight has been rearranged so quickly," said Harrison. "I'm looking forward to getting my career back on track, and defeating Rogan will be the perfect way of signalling my intentions."Alex Arthur's WBO World Super-Featherweight title defense against Nicky Cook tops the card in Manchester along with Amir Khan's defense of his Commonwealth lightweight titleAlso on the card are Paul Smith in an English middleweight title challenge against Steve Bendall, Steve Foster Jr in an English super-featherweight title challenge against Femi Fehintola, Matt Macklin in a 10 rounder, plus Matthew Hall, Steve Bell, Anthony Crolla, Denton Vassell and Stephen Smith.

Harrison looked promising, but I think he's done due to the KO loss to Sprott. I hope he proves me wrong, though. He's not a fatty like a lot of other heavyweights.

Default A-Force on Arthur undercard

The 2000 Olympic super-heavyweight champion takes on Martin Rogan in a 10-rounder that has been rearranged from its original date earlier in July at the Aston Villa Leisure Centre.
"I'm delighted that the Rogan fight has been rearranged so quickly," said Harrison.
"I'm looking forward to getting my career back on track and defeating Rogan will be the perfect way of signalling my intentions."
Arthur will top the bill with a WBO super-featherweight title defence against Nicky Cook, while Amir Khan will also appear at lightweight against an unnamed opponent.

Fraudley will never win a World Heavyweight Title again IMO. Not good enough. Should retire really.

Honestly, i think Audrey is absolutely awful, too many flaws to mention. He could have some domestic success but world champ? NO WAY!!!

How about Haye facing him as a warm up? he is big enough and can dig and thats about all he has going for him!! LOL

Yep Haye would blow Audley Harrison straight out the ring IMO.
How did he ever manage to win an olympic gold?? (it was a gold he won wasn't it? )

Yea it was gold, but i think it was actually at super heavyweight if i remember correctly?
It just shows that AM gold does not instantly translate into Pro Champ, Amir Khan is another example of this ... he is seriously over rated and needs to sort his defence out quick sharp if he wants to be a real contender on the world stage.

As for Audley, its only just occurred to me, this Rogan guy, is he the bloke who won Prizefighter?
If so ....WTF!!! he is 37 years old and nothing but a brawler, fuck me i may as well fight Audrey myself!!!
And this is the fight that Audrey wants to use to get back on the world stage?????

Default Re: Audley vs Rogan on Arthur/Khan card.

I have always hated Harrison for the reason that he is actually talented. But never made anything of it as a pro, He was a very good amateur fighter but never made the transition. Although, I think he will beat Rogan as he is much more talented and skillfull i really hope Rogan can win.

I like Rogan after seeing him on "The Prizefighter", He was very entertaining although lacking polish or much method

I thought Rogan had more balls and raw aggression than the other participants in the Prizefighter and thats what saw him through

As for Audrey i think he should have concentrated on his boxing rather than going all out to do everything for himself, such as managing/promoting himself at such an early stage in his career .... maybe he could have focussed a little more and made more of his talents.
