I stand by my scorecard which had Leonard winning. But I understand those who say Hagler won because there were a lot of very tight rounds. I still think Leonard did enough though .

That's how I had it.

Hagler can blame himself for losing...he looked like he took it easy and practically gave it away. Pretty much what Bernard did in the Calzaghe fight.

I agree with your post up until the last sentence. Bernard couldn't go any faster than he did. He even needed to fake a couple of low blows to get a time out.

Well I wasn't entirely convinced he simply gave it away either. Then I talked with my trainer Willie Rush about it(guy who invented Meldrick Taylor, took him to olympics to win the gold), and he convinced me otherwise.

Invented. LOL!

I can just picture a scene from Edward Scissorhands.

Hopkins was gassed, he couldn't live with the workrate. He had to cheat and feign injury to get his breath back.

I gave it to leonard ,but the fight was so close I can't see that anyone could really get irate about a verdict either way. It's all about how you interpret the work both men did,do you go for Haglers forward aggression,or Leonard's eye catching flurries? One thing ,I thought Hagler's corner were far too laid back the whole fight.
