![]() | Interesting perspective, I've never thought about it that way. Do we really know how fast, and therefore defensive and powerful, older fighters were? Film speed definitely looked out of whack in the past. |

![]() | Let me be the decider. I dont see tyson bieng effective after 8 rounds, especially with ali who was trained to go 15 rounds. In the first 6 rounds.....tyson. .....then again ali was absolute amazing on his feet and moved like a god. So he could probably just dance taking pop shots, frustrating tyson , ali also had a uncanny ability to get into his opponents mind talking to them while their fighting which i think tyson would fall right into. I think that he would try to take him into later rounds and destroy mike. Past 8 rds...ali wins |

Level of competition between young Ali and young Tyson don't remotely compare, yet still Tyson knocked nearly all of them out. Youngest Heavyweight champion of all time and most sensational Heavyweight champion of all time. Had the foot speed and movements of Joe Frazier, the hand speed of Floyd Patterson, and the power of Sonny Liston. Ali would not know what hit him. Ali had some of the softest opposition I've ever seen, and he had trouble with MANY of them. He looked good beating up washed up old men and Light Heavyweights failing at being a Heavyweight. He barely makes my top 10 all time list, and he only gets there due to his longevity and a couple miracle wins he had. | |
