pernell whitaker is the best lightweight i have ever seen...NOBODY was going to outbox him at 135-140 pounds...and sluggers like chavez or duran stood no chance as that agressive style was taylor made for the slickest counterpunching southpaw i have ever seen...whitaker could use his legs and box outside or stand inside and make you miss using those masterful defensive techniques,then make you pay with pinpoint counters...whitaker isnt just the best lightweight i have ever seen,he one of the greatest boxers i have seen in any weight class... |
