Re: Arum says Pacquiao vs De La Hota is a reality. i dont think this is a smart fight for manny either...i know manny has looked great at jr.lightweight and now lightweight, but oscar has been fighting at jr. middleweight since 2001...hes also fought 2 full fledged middleweights...if they fight at 150 lbs i dont see manny doing any real damage to oscar, but i can see oscar putting major hurt on manny...now i know freddy roach says that oscar just couldnt get off the way he wanted when he was training him,but that was against floyd mayweather the best defensive fighter in the game...manny isnt exactly known for his stellar defense and his offensive firepower has been against 118-135 pounders...delahoya has been in the ring with shane mosley, felix trinidad, fernando vargas and bernard hopkins who are all physically stronger and harder punchers at those weights than manny will ever be...in my opinion manny should just stay at lightweight as there are alot of good fighters at that weightclass he can compete against...juan diaz, nate campbell, casamyor, marquez, katsidsis it isnt a given manny would beat any of those guys...he must remember he just beat david diaz whos only claim to fame is beating a washed up erik morales in a fight where el terrible had his moments...manny is in over his head with a true jr. middleweight like delahoya... |
